Raytheon is a household name to this day for a reason, and that reason is quality. Very few American tubes are as consistent as Raytheon valves. In our experience, Raytheon tubes have a lower rejection rate, stronger, closer match test scores, and a lower noise floor than better selling brands like GE, Tung-Sol, and even RCA.
So why are Raytheon tubes not as popular and less talked about than other vintage tube brands? Simple... they are rarer and older than most other brands, which means less people have got the chance to try them and people go with what they know. Beyond that, there is a little bit of brand prejudice happening where people just assume RCA and Tung-Sol tubes are better (for example).
The good news is, although Raytheon tubes are rare and hard to find, their price is still a lower than other brands simply because people do not know about them. This makes them an incredible value. Do not even consider buying new. Yuck.

Logos: Vintage tubes have a wide variety of logos printed on them. It is not uncommon to see a Mullard made tube with an RCA or GE logo, or a GE made tube with a Mullard logo. Your tube may come with a logo such are Heath Kit, Baldwin, Fisher, Hammond, Magnavox, Fender, Gibson, Silvertone, etc. but the true manufacturer of that tube will be correct to your order. If you are looking for a specific logo please reach out before purchase.
